Hat Jerrica. Dress Jerrica. Shoes Jem. Shoes Jerrica. Jem doll pure. The doll has straight hair and the blonde hair visible even when she is Jem, while the cartoon character has completely pink hair which is different lenghts all the way down. In the cartoon episodes "Truly Outrageous" five parter, and partly in "In Stitches", Jerrica has shorter hair than the doll, which was fixed for the episode "Starbright Part One: 'Falling Star'".

Jem's fashion appeared from the first episode in the cartoon, but with a red belt, no tights, and only sometimes with a bracelet that didn't match the one of the doll. Then re-designed from the episode "Starbright Part One: 'Falling Star'", into having a white belt to resemble the doll more, but still no tights nor bracelet. Jerrica's fashion appeared from the first episode in the cartoon, but with pink and blue colored stripes on the dress and hat, a red belt, and no tights. From the episode "Starbright Part 2: 'Colliding Stars'" it was re-designed into being white and blue, but now with no hat, and still no tights.

The doll differs from the cartoon makeup by consisting of three colors instead of just pink. Other info on this site: Cartoon character description. Cartoon fashions. Jerrica's little sister with striking red hair, plays keyboard and writes the songs for the Holograms.

Her hair goes from long on one side to shorter on the other. Kimber was originally meant to be the guitar player of the group, which can still be found a sign of in the first episode where she plays an acoustic guitar. And notice at the end of Kimber's keyboard, a remain from the creating process, when Jem was still going to be called "M". She has a mouche on her right cheek, like Stormer, but higher up. A somewhat strict outfit, which is a style she also continued for other fashions in the cartoon, but the pink blouse is actually sewn into the jacket.

She is also the only one of the Holograms with pants. Shares facemold with Roxy, and the second year doll Video. Like the other Holograms dolls, Aja and Shana, this doll was re-released in , with a different shape of the box, new fashion, and a slightly different look of the guitar. Unlike the release, this doll has no earring holes. Variations: Hair : Bangs is straight up or laying down. Makeup : The pink in the eyeshadow is either dark original or bright pink.

One plastic button closure on front. Velcro closure with plastic button above in the back. Socks : Stretchy white fishnet. Shoes : Dark pink plastic pumps. Keyboard : Light pink plastic with white and purple keys and tuning knobs. With a silver strap for the doll to hold it. Hairpick : Light pink plastic comb with round top where the Jem logo is embossed on both sides. Stand : Oval transparent dark pink plastic base, with the Jem logo embossed from the underside in the middle of it.

Cassette : White plastic real working music cassette tape, with white sticker and pink text on it. Audition Contest insert. International: Mexico : Contents: Jacket. Keyboard broken. Doll pure. In the cartoon her hair is not different lenghts from one side to another, and it's cut in different lenghts here and there. In the cartoon Kimber has no blue nor a mouche on her cheek, but only has the pink which covers the area between her eyes and eyebrows off stage, and further below the eyes like Jem's while on stage.

Fashion looks very similar, but the lapels on her jacket were white with only a border of lightblue, and she didn't wear socks in the cartoon. In the cartoon her keyboard is on a stand, while the doll has a handheld keytar. Atleast both are pink though. The Holograms' athletic asian guitar player, who was actually at first the only member who played guitar in the cartoon. Although Hasbro at one point meant for her to be the drum player. Apparently one of the most popular dolls of the entire line in the 80's, and perhaps the most high quality one.

Her bright blue hair is quite flat and cut into layers. She doesn't share facemold with any other doll. She is meant to be asian, which is not as obvious on the doll as in the cartoon. She has alot going on with colors and shapes in her makeup, and is the only doll of the entire line that has some metallic makeup, the blue shapes below her eyes. Like the Stormer doll, her eyebrows matches her haircolor.

Surprising that they gave her a snakeskin pattern on her skirt, which seems more in line with the Misfits wild fashions, like their white tiger patterns. Her beautiful high quality belt is entirely full of sequins, which is something rare for this line, since with the exception of gems sequins were only used otherwise for Stormer and for the Onstage fashion "Twilight In Paris". Also her multicolored tights is a high quality piece. Like the other Holograms dolls, Kimber and Shana, this doll was re-released in , with a different shape of the box, new fashion, and a slightly different look of the guitar.

Velcro closure in back, opens halfway. Velcro closure in back opens halfway. Belt : Consists of round violet sequins, with velcro closure in the ends. Tights : Stretchy multicolored with elastic waist. Shoes : Light pink plastic pumps. Guitar : Lightblue plastic with blue glitter sticker on it with details such as strings and tuning knobs. Hairpick : Dark pink comb with rounded top and the Jem logo embossed on both sides. In the chorus of the song "Like A Dream", the vocals can be heard in the background.

International: Mexico : Contents: Shirt. Hair is quite close, but the layers are more straight on the doll. This fashion appeared from the first episode in the cartoon. The tights look a bit different, but is probably the best they could do as a cartoon version.

She has atleast two different guitars in the cartoon, only one of which atleast has a very similar shape, but is pink. Shana is a fashion designer and at first drummer in the cartoon but then guitar player. Which is why she still comes with a guitar in the release. The doll line hadn't decided who played what in time for the cartoon, but it was up to the cartoon to solve this in the two-parter episodes "The Talent Search" by introducing the drummer Raya. This is one of my favorite dolls of this first year.

Shana is an african-american doll with big violet curly hair, which is tied with a hairbow. She has a nice match of violet colors from her hair, shiny fabric dress, and down to her shoes. She is the only doll of the entire line that came with nothing on her legs, and the only one other than Pizzazz that got panties. Her jacket appears to have been shorter early on in development according to the cartoon version.

Perhaps the rarest of the first edition dolls. Shares facemold with Stormer and the second year doll Synergy, both with more or less curly hair. Like the other Holograms dolls, Kimber and Aja, this doll was re-released in , with a different shape of the box, new fashion, and a slightly different look of the guitar.

Variations: Hair : High original or low hairline. Contents: Hairbow : Iridescent white fabric with an elastic white band. Dress : Shiny violet sleeveless mini-dress, with ruffled vertical line in the middle down to the slit.
